Ouch

I was alerted to this by my buddy Andysan.

This is, to quote him, a big fookity. So McAffee releases a DAT file that essentially tells all it’s users that several hundred files are infected with a virus and advises them to delete or quarantine the lot.

Only problem is that these are all false positives and are actual legitimate programmes. Programmes are rendered inoperable and the IT department starts to cry.

I wonder who is going to pay for the damages, and just how much this actually cost some businesses?
